a sort of family reunion-ish type thing

my husband's side of the family has been up to some pretty dramatic life changes this summer. Nate's sister and her family finally made the big move from pittsburgh TO portland and his brother is making the move BACK to pittsburgh FROM portland but despite all the craziness, there just happened to be a few magical hours where the stars aligned and we were all actually able to be in the same place at the same time. there may have been a goat sacrifice and some chanting and possibly some fire dancing in order for this to happen. ok, so there was no goat sacrifice, but brats were boiled in beer and one was poured out for our homies so the midwestern gods were happy. we're sad to lose Alex & Aims but ecstatic to have the Bliss family so close by and there's even talk of a redwoods trip next year with the rest of the Alf clan so there's much to be happy about and to look forward to. so without getting too mushy, here's a few shots of a gorgeous summer day and a wonderful family that i'm extremely thankful for:
